A World of Color…

I’m a painter living in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. My work is exhibited in regional and local galleries and held in many private collections.

A hiker, trail runner, outdoor enthusiast, and animal lover, I find inspiration for my painting in nature.

I grew up in the Hudson Valley. My family instilled a love of nature early on in my life and it’s only increased as I’ve gotten older. My memories are steeped with the Hudson Valley’s hills, creeks, rivers, woods, and fields.

I’m inspired by the Impressionist and Expressionist painters of the past.  I work both from photos and my own memories. I use color, light, and texture to illustrate a memory or feeling of a particular place or time within nature.

When I feel as if I can walk right into the painting and stay for a while I know the painting is complete.
